Composer

Kasia Głowicka

Kasia Głowicka (PL/NL) is a composer whose music spans film, opera, theatre, and multimedia. Her work blends classical, ambient, pop-synth, and minimalist techniques to serve powerful narratives. She creates music that is both structurally sophisticated and emotionally resonant – praised by critics for its “deep melodies” and “hypnotic force.”

Her film work includes, among others, the score for the documentary Searching for Tereska and the VR opera Saga of Sage – a pioneering metaverse project. Her operatic and theatrical works have been performed by, among others, the Polish National Opera, De Munt Theatre Brussels, and at festivals such as the Venice Biennale and Warsaw Autumn.

Key stage works include the opera Unknown, I Live With You based on testimonies of Afghan women under Taliban rule, the radio play Lilian inspired by true stories of Eritrean refugees, and Afterparty – a show written jointly with rapper “Fisz” commissioned by Teatr Studio in Warsaw. She is also the creator of the innovative programme Connected Creativity, which uses artistic methods to teach creativity in business, for which she received the Senior Comenius Fellowship at Inholland University in Amsterdam.
