Elena Pisano is an Italian pianist and composer based in Amsterdam. Her music blends jazz, classical, hip hop, and contemporary electronic styles, shaped by a lifelong curiosity for diverse sounds. Starting piano at six, she studied classical music before embracing improvisation and other genres. In 2016, she moved to the Netherlands, graduating in Jazz Piano and Composing for Film at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Active as a film composer and performer with various groups, Elena creates music that bridges the familiar and the experimental, weaving together tonalities, rhythms, and textures to craft immersive sonic landscapes. In 2024, she was nominated for the Music in Media Awards in the New Talent category for her score for the short film Daar moet nog wat mee.
