Over the past few years, our One on One sessions have proven how valuable this can be by bringing like-minded people together. Positive and often very useful outcomes have emerged from these connections. Willemijn Besteman & Eva Koffeman
Creative, Roorda, NLEva Koffeman and Willemijn Besteman are the new kids on the block in advertising—not from the Beatles generation, but the Roxy Dekker generation. In other words, they don’t take themselves too seriously. As a creative duo, their first criterion for a good idea is if it makes the other one laugh. The second criterion is that it makes sense. They believe sound and music can either make or break the humor and coherence of a campaign. With this approach, they create work for clients like Rijksoverheid, Milieu Centraal, Bob, and KRO-NCRV.
Calum Brice-Stevens
Music Supervisor, Intermission Film, UKCalum Brice-Stevens is a British Music Supervisor working in-house at Intermission Film. With a degree in Sound Design Technology from the University of Hertfordshire, where he graduated with first-class honours, Calum has over a decade of experience in Post-Production and Sync. He has honed his skills at various music companies, including Sony Music Publishing’s Extreme Music, No Sheet Music, and Think Sync, working on a wide range of projects from short films to documentaries and trailers. In 2022, he was nominated for Best Use of Production Music in a Film Trailer for his work on The Phantom of The Open. Passionate about crafting innovative soundscapes for film trailers, Calum has recently overseen Music Supervision for campaigns such as Robot Dreams, The Outrun, Rye Lane, and Snowpiercer S4.
Zoë Ellen Bryant
Music Supervisor, Carbon Logic, UKZoë’s obsession with soundtracks began with Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet in 1996. Twenty years later, she joined Carbon Logic and now boasts over 40 music supervision credits, including A Gentleman In Moscow, Derry Girls, and I Hate Suzie. Renowned for her musicality and diligence, Zoë goes above and beyond for every production while respecting the value of music rights with stakeholders. She loves the detective work involved in tracking down rights-holders, navigating “Public Domain” legalities, and is meticulous with clearances, budgets, and schedules. Outside of music supervision, Zoë has dabbled in radio presenting and songwriting. Since late 2021, she’s also been devoted to her Croatian Sheepdog rescue, Ervin.
Christophe Caurret
Music Creative Director, Publicis, FRChristophe Caurret is the Music Creative Director for Publicis Group in France, where he leads innovative music strategies for brands and campaigns. In addition to his work at Publicis, he is also an artist manager and a party organizer, blending his passion for music with creative and cultural events.
Joe Connor
Music Supervisor, BCWC, JPJoe Connor has been involved in music for visual media in Japan since 2018, taking on roles in music production, editing, and licensing. He has collaborated with Seiya since the early days of Black Cat White Cat Music and is currently focused on managing music licensing for clients like Apple and Netflix.
Marco de Jong
Creative / Art director, Buutvrij for Life, NLOriginally from Rotterdam, Marco has over 20 years of experience as an art director in Amsterdam, having worked at agencies such as Y&R, Ogilvy, N=5, and Selmore. He is currently part of Buutvrij, a creative agency focused on brands with a mission to improve the world. Marco has created campaigns for IKEA, Auping, LOI, ABN AMRO, Rabobank, and Ford, earning numerous national and international awards. Known for his humor and storytelling, he has a special passion for crafting radio commercials. While he pays close attention to the visual elements, he understands that music plays a vital role in evoking emotions and enhancing the overall concept.
Emmie Kollau
CEO, Aldus’ producties, NLEmmie Kollau is a creative maker of podcasts and multimedia projects. Together with designer Tijl Akkermans, she runs the production house Aldus’ productions and the Autres Directions Foundation. With their team, they create impactful stories in various formats, capturing the spirit of the times. Their work spans autonomous projects as well as commissions for broadcasters, newspapers, and museums such as VPRO, NTR, NRC, HUMAN, the Jewish Museum, and Kamp Amersfoort. Notable podcasts by Kollau include Hier hing een schilderij (NRC) and Lopendebandwerk (VPRO). As editor-in-chief and producer, she has also overseen Buiten de Muren, De weg van de dodo, and De man en de maan. Music plays a vital role in her work, and she enjoys collaborating with composers. Her first theater performance, Gabbers waren we, will premiere at ADE 2024, where (hardcore) music will play a key role. Previously, she was director of the Oorzaken International Podcast Festival and worked as a researcher and reporter for various broadcasters.
Aemilia van Lent
Executive Producer, 100%, NLAemilia currently serves as Executive Producer in 100%’s commercial department, primarily focusing on short commercial content ranging from 10-30 seconds to one minute. She began her career working as a freelancer on longer projects like feature films, short films, television series, and long-form documentaries. Over time, her focus shifted more toward commercials. Today, her role at 100% centers on client engagement, conceptualizing treatments, and crafting budgets that seamlessly align with the director’s vision and meet the agency’s expectations.
Seiya Matsumiya
Music Supervisor, BCWC, JPSeiya Matsumiya is the co-founder and CEO of Black Cat White Cat Music. He began his musical journey in Southern California’s vibrant music scene in the early 2000s, later studying at Berklee College of Music. After returning to Los Angeles, he performed with artists like Flea, Cat Power, and Maroon 5 while developing a career in music for film, TV, and advertising. In 2018, Seiya launched Black Cat White Cat Music in Tokyo alongside his sister, composer Aska Matsumiya. In just five years, the company has produced music for global advertising campaigns, winning international awards like Cannes Lions and CICLOPE Berlin, where it was named Music Company of the Year in 2020. Black Cat White Cat has also expanded into film, contributing to After Yang by A24 in 2022, and various series for major streaming platforms in the U.S. and Japan. Seiya has served on several juries, including the 2023 Cannes Lions for Entertainment for Music.
Jordy van Meer
Creative Director, Nosh Foodfilms, NLDriven by a creative mind, Jordy van de Meer translates ideas into reality. With a background in digital advertising, he has grown into a founder and Creative Director, specializing in film production with a focus on the food and beverage sector. Jordy leads (and wins) pitches, secures clients, and ensures the highest quality standards in their work, while carefully developing conceptual campaigns for global brands and FMCGs. His experience blends creativity with business, enabling him to create impactful, high-quality content that delivers results worldwide.
Tjitske Mussche
Podcast director / Artistic director, Oorzaken Festival, NLTjitske Mussche created several podcast series, including De jurk en het scheepswrak (NTR), Ongesigneerd (VPRO), and Gedwongen (4&5 May Committee). Her most recent project is an exhibition with a podwalk for the Teylers Museum in Haarlem, in collaboration with Ruimtetijd and scenographer Theun Mosk. In this project, audio, music, and scenography come together. In addition to being a creator, she is the artistic director of OORZAKEN, a platform for narrative audio. Through this platform, she organizes events such as the Oorzaken Festival, Oorzaken Academy, and the Korte Golf competition. OORZAKEN places significant focus on multidisciplinary collaborations between journalists, writers, composers, and theater makers.
Janice Pierre
Director & Creative producer, Dear People, NLJanice Pierre graduated from the Dutch Film Academy in 2001. She has directed several highly acclaimed TV movies, television dramas, comedy shows, and commercials. She won two Silver Lions at the Cannes Lions Festival for the IDFA campaign. Janice made her feature film debut with the romantic comedy Hartenstrijd. Her television work includes directing Papadag (Netflix) and Dertigers. In addition to directing, Janice is also a creative producer at Dear People.
Paul Roest
partner/director, rubenpaulruben, NLPaul Roest began his journey working independently on small projects during the rise of the Canon 5D. As the projects grew in size, he crossed paths with Ruben and Ruben. Together, they quickly founded the production company rubenpaulruben. Today, the team has grown to six people, and their projects continue to expand in scope and ambition.
Maxime Rouge
Music Supervisor & Artistic director, Prodigious (Publicis), FRMaxime has 15 years of experience as a professional musician and is trained at the American School of Modern Music. He was introduced to the captivating world of musical synchronization when several of his compositions were featured in international campaigns for brands like Nokia and L’Oréal. As a photographer and urban explorer with the Interstices collective, he brings a unique perspective to his understanding of music and imagery. Since 2015, Maxime has co-directed musical art direction with Grégoire Bucaille, focusing on brand music strategy and musical supervision for the Publicis group. Their mission is to continually seek new music, creative concepts, and emerging talent to meet their clients’ diverse needs. Over the years, they have had the privilege of collaborating with prestigious brands such as Cartier, Lancôme, Valentino, Orange, and many more. Whether for modest or large-scale projects, their commitment remains unwavering: to propose original and daring musical solutions that add value to each project through the power of music.
Nino Stoffels & Jasper Vierboom
Strategy & Sound / Creative Director & Partner, Wolfstreet, NLNino Stoffels and Jasper Vierboom are a dynamic duo combining strategy, sound, and visual creativity. Nino, a strategist and composer, crafts the essence of brands and translates it into sound, working with clients like Nike, ABN AMRO, Budget Thuis, and Artis. After nearly five years at Natwerk, he now works at Wolfstreet and freelances, delivering sonic branding and compositions. Jasper, the creative lead at Wolfstreet, heads a team that produces high-end visual content for innovative brands. Together, Nino and Jasper merge sound and visuals to create immersive brand experiences that leave a lasting impact.
Charlotte Stricker
Music Supervisor, Bell Music Supervision, NLCharlotte’s love for music began at a young age with piano playing, dancing, and an attempt at drumming, but she quickly realized that playing instruments was best left to the professionals. Starting her career as a Rights Manager at CNR Music & Overamstel Publishers, she moved on to become Sync Manager and later Head of Sync at CTM Publishing. In this role, she was responsible for pitching and exploiting the commercial and production music catalog for ads, films, series, and games, while negotiating the best licenses for their writers and composers. During her time at CTM, Charlotte got a taste of music supervision, working on projects like the Amazon feature film Hardcore Never Dies, directed by Jim Taihuttu. Earlier this year, she joined the Bell Music Supervision team as a Music Supervisor, where she is currently working on several new films and series set to release soon.
Alessandro Tomasi
Director & Photographers Rep., 100%, NLAle is the Directors & Photographers Rep at 100%, connecting the agency and its talent with the broader creative industry. A multidisciplinary professional, Ale has spent over a decade working across various sectors, starting his career in contemporary art and photography. Since then, he has collaborated with international brands and creative agencies. He also served as Community and Partnerships Manager at ADCN, the largest creative community in the Netherlands, where he organized and hosted influential industry events such as the Dutch Creativity Festival and the ongoing series Creative Collider.
Niels Visser
Executive Producer, Pink Rabbit, NLAs Executive Producer at PinkRabbit, Niels oversees productions for directors such as Teddy Cherim, Juul Op Den Kamp, Ismael ten Heuvel, and Souf Kinani. He frequently produces commercials both in the Netherlands and internationally. Over the past decade, Niels has worked on a diverse range of commercials, music videos, and (short) films. His portfolio includes commercials for Patta & FC Barcelona, G-Star featuring Snoop Dogg, a KFC ad with rapper Joost, short Nike documentaries about gabber, bubbling, and hip hop, as well as music videos for Spinvis and Meetsysteem, and a Ghanaian film featuring original Ghanaian tracks.
Derk-Jan Warrink
Producer, Kepler, NLKeplerfilm was founded in 2016 and ambitiously produces high-quality international feature and short films, including the Dutch Oscar entry BULADÓ (Eché Janga), the box-office hit HOTEL SINESTRA (Michiel ten Horn), the Prix Jeunesse and Rose d’Or-winning TV production TALKING HEADS (Menno Otten), and Cannes Caméra d’Or winner ARMAND (Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel). Keplerfilm is led by producers Derk-Jan Warrink and Koji Nelissen, both members of ACE, EFA, and alumni of EAVE—Derk-Jan focusing on the creative side and Koji on business operations. Selected as one of the leading European producers in Screen International’s THE EURO 75, Keplerfilm is committed to building a creative foundation for exceptional writers and directors, encouraging them to find their unique voices and dream big. With this aim, Keplerfilm organizes initiatives like the Kepler Residency writers’ retreat and the script development competition Tipping Point, where three filmmakers receive a €20,000 grant to develop a film idea on climate issues. Keplerfilm focuses on original stories about real people with inescapable struggles and desires, aiming to create heartfelt, high-quality films for a wide audience.
Ollie White
Music Supervisor, Theodore Music, UKOllie is a London-based Music Supervisor and a member of the music supervision collective, Theodore Music. He is best known for his work on the Disney Plus revamp of Doctor Who and the hit HBO series Industry.
Mats Wilke
Joe Public, NLMats Wilke is an advertising copywriter and creative director at Joe Public Amsterdam. He has led award-winning campaigns for a wide range of clients, including the Van Gogh Museum, Audi, the Dutch government, and insurance company OHRA, as well as several charities. One of his favorite campaigns featured Henk Wijngaard in a musical lead role. Mats looks forward to discovering even more talented componisten during the Matchmaking Sessions.
Jacob Wiltshire
Creative Director, Pusher, DEJacob Wiltshire is a music industry professional and Creative Director at PUSHER, with years of international experience in A&R, sync licensing, music production, label management, and publishing. Based in Berlin, Jacob represents and manages PUSHER’s roster of artists, composers, and label and publishing partners for global sync opportunities. PUSHER’s music has been featured in hundreds of entertainment marketing campaigns for Disney, FOX, Warner Brothers, Universal, NETFLIX, Sony, Amazon, HBO, Activision, Ubisoft, Hulu, Apple, and A24. The PUSHER Ads division has also secured placements for brands such as Ford, Toyota, PlayStation, Audi, Samsung, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Burberry.
