We offer six spots to emerging composers to participate in a special networking program. Are you a film composer at the beginning of your career? Then you can apply for this open call. During IDFAcademy 2025, six composers will have the opportunity to meet the selected filmmakers from IDFA Project Space NL. IDFAcademy offers emerging filmmakers the opportunity to meet a broad spectrum of experienced documentary professionals who share their knowledge and insights from the industry.
We are looking for:
- Six composers at the beginning of their careers
What do we need?
- BumaStemra number
- Photo
- Short biography
- Brief motivation
- Link to recent work (max. 2 examples, preferably audio files)
- Availability on November 14, 2025
What can you expect?
- You will have the opportunity to meet (some of) the participants of IDFA Project Space NL in one-on-one (live) sessions.
- The projects are still in the research or early development phase. Be open-minded: these meetings are intended to discuss the creative process and inspire each other.
- BMIM and IDFAcademy facilitate the meetings, but there are no guarantees for collaboration. Consider this an opportunity to expand your network.
