Sterre Hond is a classically trained pianist and emerging film composer. Her synesthesia — the ability to experience colours while playing — shapes her music into audible paintings, with the piano as her palette. As a graduate of the Rotterdam Conservatory, she combines refined and sensitive playing with a fascination for the mystical and mysterious. On stage, she enriches her compositions with transformative light projections that make her multisensory world tangible. Since 2023, she has collaborated with film composer Alex Simu and composed the music for her first film, which premieres this fall.
