Sofia Dragt

Sofia Dragt is a composer, producer, vocalist and pianist from the Netherlands and combines creating music as a performer in pop music with composing and producing music for film and media. With ethereal vocals, intimate piano and string sounds, her inspiration from Scandinavia can be heard. With a love for nature, she is grateful that she was able to work on various nature documentaries such as WAD, Grutto! and Strand.

Sofia has won several awards, including ‘De Grote Prijs van Nederland’ in 2013, the award for ‘Beste Muziek – Pop’ at the Berlin Motion Picture Festival in 2018 and in 2019 she was runner-up for ‘Beste Film Scoring’ at the CAIFF (US). Her song Come Home, written for the TV commercial of the Dutch insurance company ‘Interpolis’, was in second place in the ‘Reclamemuziek Top 40 2020’. She was allowed to make the music for the documentary Green Musketeer (Greendocs Film) that premiered in September ’24 in Pathé Tuschinski. And she has a nice collaboration behind her with composer Jeffrey van Rossum, with whom she worked on the soundtrack of the new Dutch film Red Flags, which will premiere in April ’25.

She has a preference for potatoes and craft beer. Start talking about that and the collaboration has begun.
