Sam van Ommen

Sam started playing guitar at the age of 11, quickly moving on to songwriting and playing in bands. He studied guitar at the pop department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and expanded his skills as a composer, arranger, and producer. In his final year, he was introduced to the world of film music, which opened up new possibilities for him; composing to enhance stories and emotions. It was a new challenge for Sam to use music not as the main ingredient but as a supporting component. Since graduating in 2021, he has been active as a solo artist under the name Sam Vano, as well as a composer for podcasts and occasional commercials (PLUS, Uber, AH). His background as a songwriter combined with his experience in composing for visual media and storytelling leads to unique and original results.
