Olivier Terpstra

Olivier Terpstra is a producer, film composer and sound artist living in Utrecht. With his music compositions he tries to create spaces in which stories can be told and shared with the audience. The way in which this is brought out can be through installations, live performances and film scores. In the years that he has been active as a composer, he has developed a recognizable and effective music style. The warm and rich sounds of analogue synthesizers play a central role in this. Supplemented with sound fragments from his archive that he has recorded over the years as a sound engineer. His work can be heard in the Mauritshuis, Casco Gallery and BAK Gallery, among others. In 2022 he won the award for best original score for the 48hour film festival in Amsterdam. He is now working with the Berlin studio MONOM to mix his first album in the 4D audio format.
