Mathijs Duringhof

“My name is Mathijs Duringhof. I am a guitarist/keyboardist, and I mainly compose/produce applied music. After a short period at the conservatory and a detour as an English teacher, I rolled back into the music world as if it was meant to be. First mainly as a playing musician, soon also as a composer of his own work (Scallymatic Orchestra, Fluks). Subsequently, applied music was increasingly added: from radio jingles to sound design, and from music for brands to podcasts. Due to a background as a guitarist in jazz, soul and related styles, supplemented with DJing in clubs, writing (pop) radio jingles and a predilection for old synthesizers, I am now quite versatile. I work from my own studio in the centre of Utrecht.”
