“My name is Jan Schröder, and I am a guitarist, songwriter and media composer with French, German and Dutch roots. With my band Causes I scored several gold and platinum singles and received a Buma Award in 2017 for “Teach Me How To Dance With You”. I currently live in Hilversum and have my own writing space and recording studio at Studio Groenland. In recent years I have written and produced a lot of music for films, documentaries and series. Examples of this work are the documentary ‘Referees! Exchange’ for the EO that was shortlisted for a Golden Calf. Or the series ‘Marvin?’ which was shown this year at the SXSW Festival in Austin Another example of my recent work is the documentary ‘Vaak bij-j te ban’ about the Zwarte Cross Festival for Pathé and RTL Videoland.”
