Eddy Steeneken is a producer, composer, and songwriter who has been active in the music industry since the start of this millennium. He was a songwriter and keyboard player for the band Moke and has also written songs for other artists. His work in music production and composition evolved into audio post-production and sound design.
Recent productions he has worked on include the documentaries Jehovah van God Los, Jomanda: Lady of the Light, and Het Mondkapjesgoud, as well as TV shows like Langs de Schelde and De Mensenbieb. While he has composed for advertising, he prefers scoring for culturally engaged themes.
His most recent compositions include the music for When I Saw the Sun and the Moon at the Same Time by Tina Farifteh (on display at Breda Photo) and the ‘Zilveren Camera’ winning film Kitten or Refugee?, for which he also handled the mixing and sound design. Additionally, he composed the score for Mijn Leven is van Mij, a documentary by director Emma Westerman.
