Bas Voorn

Bas Voorn works under the name Solo Moderna. From his hometown of Tilburg, this multi-instrumental virtuoso reached all corners of the world and continues to renew and challenge himself in his difficult journey. His attempt to experiment with both traditional and electronic instruments always makes his sound surprising and new. It is also Kraftwerk and Señor Coconut on a journey to Africa, the Balkans, the Caribbean and South America. Between 3 albums, several singles, reworks and remixes, his music was picked up by BBC6 Gilles Peterson but also by WDR and studio Brussels. His vinyl records are available in record stores worldwide and he mixes live from his studio on record store day. Last but not least, one of his tracks was used in a Colombian ghetto film El Concursante that was nominated at the Blackandwhite film festival. A new album is planned for May 2024 on Galletas Calientes Records in France.
