Arie Visser is a composer and sound designer with a deep passion for music and sound. In his youth, he took drum and piano lessons, but he considers himself primarily self-taught. Growing up in the 1980s, surrounded by the dark tones of new wave and post-punk, he developed a strong preference for melancholic music.
This influence is evident in his compositions for various podcasts, including De Wadden, een andere oorlog by NOS and Oom Matje. For the latter, he created music that supports the storytelling, an essential element given the narrative nature of the project.
For Edda Heinsman’s podcast Alles voor de Wetenschap, his music contributed to a lighter atmosphere, while always maintaining a serious undertone.
