BMIM New Talent Award 2017

In 2017 we had no awards other than the BMIM New Talent Award. The The award ceremony was a permanent part of the conference. During the 2017 conference attention was paid to the music from the Netflix series Peaky Blinders and the Oscar-nominated film Lion, the importance of music in film trailers such as Mad Max: Fury Road, the effect of music on the experience of a game, the placement of existing songs in media with the global music manager of Adidas and much more.

Putting new talent in the spotlight

Buma Music in Motion annually puts new talent in the spotlight with the BMIM New Talent Award. Young professionals and students of composition and/or sound design for media were challenged to submit their best work from the past year, after which a professional jury reviewed the entries.
