In this podcast series from Buma Music in Motion we talk to media composers. In the Netherlands there are many composers and producers who create high-level music for films, series, games and commercials. From Netflix series to Dutch hit film. Discover the stories behind a composition and get to know these composers. During the special ESNS edition we will specifically discuss the benefits of writing for commercials and sync as an artist. How can placing a song in a series increase streams? Could writing music for commercials and/or documentaries be a nice addition to creating your own work?
Blanks
composer, artist, NLBlanks, the 26-year-old songwriter, is one of the most promising indie pop artists from the Netherlands today. A happy, melancholic feeling, that is what this musician wants to evoke with his music.
He tries to involve his fans in the process of making songs through his social media channels. This concept resulted in several tracks and his YouTube channel ‘Music By Blanks’. He shares his love for music through concepts such as ‘One Hour Song Challenge’ and ‘Blanks Invites’. He is also an online mentor in his own songwriting and production class.
Blanks played at showcase festivals such as ESNS, New York Indie Week and Reeperbahn.
