Roundtable: Mental Health & Music: Finding Balance

Hotel Arena, Nº3 — Part of BMIM Special 2025
This activity has already taken place.

The music industry is fast-paced, high-pressure, and emotionally demanding – especially for composers and creators working independently. In this interactive roundtable, Maxine Penney leads a conversation on mental health in the music world, with a focus on practical, actionable strategies to support wellbeing.

Together, we’ll explore themes like imposter syndrome, burnout, creative pressure, isolation, and the unique challenges faced by music professionals. The session will be informal and participatory – a space to share experiences, exchange tools, and leave feeling more supported and inspired.

About Roundtables
Gather at these intimiate roundtables that focus on having conversations. How do you stay mentally fit in a fast-pace sector? Who decides what AI uses for training? Or how do you stay visible and claim your own place in the industry. No panel with talking heads, but equal conversations with makers, experts and other professionals. You can apply for these conversations during BMIM Special.
