Pop-Up Office: Rights (by Sena)

Your track gets played on the radio. You’re in a bar and suddenly hear your own song. Or your music pops up in a commercial. Great moments – but is everything behind the scenes actually arranged properly? Are your tracks correctly registered, are your roles clearly defined, and are you getting paid when your music is used?

At the Sena stand, you can dive deeper into exactly these kinds of questions. From optimising how you register your repertoire, to understanding how distributions work in practice, what happens with international exploitation, and where things often go wrong in collaborations or when defining your role as a performer. The specialists at Sena are there for focused questions and real-world cases.

Silvia Biemans

Accountmanager Relations, Sena, NL

Sena manages the neighboring rights of musicians and producers. Silvia helps these rights holders understand how they can receive compensation when their music is publicly used.

Silvia has been working in the music industry for over 30 years. She started in the live sector; at Mojo Concerts, she was an office manager for Dutch festivals and a key part of organizing events such as Lowlands and Pinkpop. After Mojo, Silvia worked as a booker for Dutch acts at the booking agency The Alternative. She then continued as an independent producer and was involved in festivals such as Motel Mozaique, Metropolis Festival, Hemelbestormers, and Best Kept Secret.

Since 2017, Silvia has been working at Sena. As an account manager in relationship management, she focused on education and events, as well as being responsible for key accounts. Since 2026, Silvia has been working as Project Manager Community & Events, where she is responsible for Sena’s contribution to events. In addition, Silvia is involved in developing a Sena Community.

Do you have a question about neighboring rights, in the Netherlands or internationally, or would you like to know what Sena can do for you? Silvia is happy to help!
