Mojan Alaiyeh

Mojan Alaiyeh is an Iranian composer based in Amsterdam, passionate about storytelling through music. Her work spans film scores, live performances, and contemporary compositions, with premieres at festivals such as Grachtenfestival and Gaudeamus. She has composed for award-winning films featured at International Film Festival Rotterdam and Nederlands Film Festival.

After earning her BA in composition in Tehran, she moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue a master’s degree in Composing for Film at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Netherlands Film Academy.

Mojan’s music blends her Iranian roots with classical and experimental elements. She has composed for various short fiction films, documentaries, and a feature-length comedy. She also collaborates with visual artists on interdisciplinary projects and curates performances like Migration of Violets.

Since 2023, Mojan has been a guest lecturer in film music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a jury member for the Keep an Eye Film Score Award.
