Dimitra Alexiou

Dimitra is a film composer, born in Greece and now based in the Netherlands. She studied Composing for Film at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and has been working in film for the past few years; her most recent work includes the films Tomatensoep, from director Ömer Akgün, supported by De Ontmoeting, which premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2025, together with her two films Kleine Wereld and Dans naar morgen, by directors Thomas Stoop and Nour Alkheder respectfully. She has also just finished the film De Magistraten by Jop Emonts, supported by CineSud.

Moreover, she is a permanent member of Filmhuis Cavia, where she programs screenings with social impact, as well as screenings of greek films. She is also starting the first ever Greek Film Festival in the Netherlands, that will take place in May 22-24, 2026.
