Wiebe Boorsma (1975, Rheden) is a music composer/sound designer for moving stories. He has written and produced music for (inter)national film productions, including: film, TV-series, TV commercials, film trailers, documentaries, music libraries, museum exhibitions and theatre productions. Wiebe studied music composition for film and cinematic orchestration with UK film composer Guy Michelmore.
In 2014 en 2017 his music was nominated for best original film score in short film Broken Obsessions and the film teaser for the feature film The Wonderous Journey Of Little Sophie in the global Music And Sound Awards. He’s had the privilege of producing music for brands such as Nikon, Bol.com, VGZ, Danone, film production companies FU Works, Pellicola/IJswater Film, Artcore, Smarthouse, Journeyman Pictures and broadcasting companies: VPRO/Villa Achterwerk, KRO-NCRV. Inspired by nature Wiebe writes in a variety of styles, from simple acoustic tunes to sweeping orchestral arrangements blurring.
