Nana Adjoa

Can be contacted for: film, theater, podcast, advertising and sound installations.

Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Nana Adjoa is a sonic explorer, armed with a deft poeticism and a fierce sense of musicianship. Once originally a Jazz-trained bassist, now after three EP releases, her debut album Big Dreaming Ants and a live record together with Metropole Orchestra, she’s made her way to international map as an artist with her own sound. Behind the multi-instrumentalist’s bold approach to songwriting is an unflinching sense of curiosity and an openness to endless possibility. Recently she spent time learning audio engineering and music production techniques from the best in studios in New York City, Los Angeles and Bristol. (Scott Jacoby, Tony Berg, Stew Jackson). She also enrolled in the ‘Film Scoring Summer Workshop’ at NYU Steinhardt. In addition to her solo work, she creates music for others in various forms. She writes for other artists, has composed for art installations, poets/spoken word artists and more.
