Mike Meurs

As a film composer and arranger, Mike mainly creates music for animated films and short fiction. In 2020 he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Music in Composition for Film and Theater at the ArtEZ Conservatory and the following year he won a Buma Award in the Short Film category for the animated film Margin of Terror. In July 2023 he graduated with distinction from the Royal College of Music in London and obtained his Masters in Composition for Screen. Since then, Mike has arranged a lot for musicals and independent orchestras. He also works on short films: film music remains his real passion. Mike describes his music as modern classical with influences of jazz harmony and characteristic melodic developments. He also likes to combine orchestral instruments with the sound of synthesizers.
