Mari started playing drums at the age of 6. He later became interested in DAWs and after the Atheneum he started the Composition and Music Production course at the HKU. Four years later, he graduated as a Bachelor of Music with Honors. During this period, Mari met Joshua Petit and in 2013 they started Soundsright together. From their 5 studios in Amsterdam, they work on music and sound for brands such as Mercedes, Adidas, Desperados, Heineken, Albert Heijn and Holland & Barrett, but also for (game) trailers such as Netflix’ Ferry and John Carpenter’s “Toxic Commando”. They recently won the Buma Music in Media Award 2023 Advertising for their music in “Better Time Stories”.
