Judith Rijsenbrij is a keyboardist, singer/songwriter and producer. She started playing music as a child, playing the piano and singing in the children’s choir of the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. She studied Performing Arts at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2015)before moving to the Pop department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam. There, she graduated in 2020 as a producer, keyboardist and vocalist. She creates music under the alias puntjudith, produces pop music and composes music for theatre, and film.
As Puntjudith, she creates energetic music with melancholic tones, heavy beats, and pulsating basses, writing about both personal and existential themes. She blends film, dance, fashion, and music, collaborating with a large team of young creatives to build an immersive visual world around her alternative indie-pop tracks. Her short film “Lawines,” directed by Vincent Tilanus, premiered in 2022 at the Netherlands Film Festival and was also featured at ADE and Fashion Clash. Next year, she will compose music and sounddesign for the production Zenith by Tom Jaspers, which will be staged in the Netherlands in 2025. Her debut album with Puntjudith is also set to be released.
