Known for his innovative use of the prepared piano as Hauschka, his compositions have left an unforgettable mark. Hauschka, also known as Volker Bertelmann for his film composing, is a German musician, experimental pianist, and composer. Transitioning from his roots in rock music to classical training in Dusseldorf, he swiftly made a name for himself in the realm of film composition as Volker Bertelmann. Composer – All Quiet on the Western Front, The Crow

Volker Bertelmann, also known as Hauschka, is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and experimental musician. He earned an Academy Award and a BAFTA in 2023 for Best Score for his work on “All Quiet on the Western Front” directed by Edward Berger. His collaboration with Dustin O’Halloran on the score for “Lion” garnered multiple nominations, including an Oscar and a Golden Globe.

Bertelmann’s diverse portfolio includes scores for notable films and TV series such as “Patrick Melrose,” “The Old Guard,” and “Black Mirror.” His innovative piano techniques, using prepared piano with various objects, have earned him recognition worldwide. With over twenty albums and EPs to his name, Bertelmann’s talent extends beyond film, collaborating with renowned artists like Múm and Hilary Hahn.

As an active member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts, and Sciences, Bertelmann continues to push the boundaries of music composition and performance.

Tessa Rose Jackson

Tessa Rose Jackson is a singer-songwriter, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, based in London and Amsterdam. She puts out her own intimate, cinematic style of alternative folk under her own name, having released her latest album The Lighthouse to critical acclaim (★★★★ ”Folk Album of the Month” – the Guardian, #13 in the Official Folk Albums Charts) but also works as a composer and producer for film, TV and game. Most notably, she provided part of the score and soundtrack for the last two highly anticipated Life Is Strange videogames and, together with Darius Timmer, created the score for the feature film The Station, which premiered at Cannes film festival 2026.
